Dialogue Prompt – I Knew You’d Live

There are some prompts that I call “betrayal or trust.” The idea behind these is that someone whom one of the people previously believed they could trust has done something that looks like betrayal and they have to decide whether or not to still trust that person and their actions. The other person may or may not have actually betrayed them and that is part of it as well. One of the things I like about them is that depending on how you interpret them, they can turn into extremely different things.

With this particular prompt, you have one person stabbing the other. That’s definitely not a friendly action and it’s understandable that the person who was stabbed would not be happy.

It’s unclear exactly how close they are supposed to be. Based off the wording at the end, it sounds to be like the one who stabbed the other one has stronger feelings in this relationship than the other does, but that could be just an illusion.

They are clearly fighting some sort of battle together, though whether this is against an organized foe or just in general they are fighting together, I don’t know. My guess would be organized, simply because the stabbing seems meant to deceive someone.

So how about you? Do you think the person who stabbed the other one really betrayed them or where they up to something else and what? Also, what is it that they still need to work together on and what is the ultimate goal they are striving for?
